DST not saving

Heyo,

I've posted this before in the suggestions and feedback, and was told this was the correct place to actually go.
So here's my issue. I've been playing, got around 40h or so and I was loving the game. Last week I went to log in with a couple friends and a bunch of issues stood out.

1) Whenever I delete a server and start a new one, to then disconnect (after at least two in game days) our progress will not only not save, the new server itself will not appear, and the previously deleted one pops up again.

2) When another person connects, the texture in-game gets messed up. They will spawn in the water, for example. I will attach a file to see what I mean.

3) The game will tell whomever connects to the server that there are issues with the mods, and not show up parts of the texture, and they won't be able to move. This issue has persisted even disabling the mods, or restarting the game without them.

 

I have followed the suggestions received in my previous post and removed all mods. All the problems persist.

 

We really love the game and would absolutely like to continue playing, so can somebody please rescue us?
I don't know if I'm posting this in the correct part of the forum, I just don't know how to handle it.

Steps to Reproduce
I had added the large chest mod a few days prior and eveyrthing was working fine. Out of the blue, I go to log in with a couple friends and all these issues started coming up at once.

I apologize for not having responded, I had selected the notification on reply option but got nothing - also, I had lost hope after a while. If you can still help, that'd be grand.

I have tried reinstalling the game after having removed all mods and all the issues persist. I will not save, the texture bug still stands.

I understand I myself did not answer for a while, but jesus it's been almost a month...

Can anybody help me figure out how to fix the dang game?

My sincerest apologies for the late reply as I had missed the indication that you had responded on the thread. Regarding your reported issue, when people join a server and show up in odd places, or the ground textures are missing/messed up, this is generally caused by bad mods. All users hosting and/or joining your server should do these:

- Delete the contents of your mods folder in Steam for Don't Starve Together (\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\mods\) and once all mod files are deleted, go to the Workshop for Don't Starve Together and unsubscribe from all mods - this is so that the bad mod(s) are not re-downloaded to your game.

- Try hosting a new game world without any mods (not even client mods) to see if the problem persists.

Should the issue persist after doing the steps above, please attach your updated client_log.txt, and if you are running caves, attach your server_log.txt as well (both Master and Caves).

As for the saves issue, please ensure that your Windows User Account has full administrative permissions to be able to read/write to your hard drive.
