DST crashes on start up - black screen then crash.

DST crashes a few seconds after clicking play in steam library. A black screen appears for a few seconds and then closes and the game does not start. I have already gone through all of the steps outlined in DST Is Crashing / DST Won't Start (https://support.klei.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029555352-DST-Is-Crashing-DST-Won-t-Start) multiple times and re-downloaded multiple times but no luck. 

Last option is to post here it says with log information so please help if you can. DxDiag & Client_log included. 

 

Steps to Reproduce

DST crashes a few seconds after clicking play in steam library. A black screen appears for a few seconds and then closes and the game does not start. Hi there, sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the game. Could we get you to send your \Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\<steamid>\client_save\profile file?

If the steamid folder does not exist, then it will be located here: \Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\client_save\profile

Hi guys! I'm having the same problem since the new major update was launched. Before that DST was running perfectly and there were no bugs that i noticed ;)

Please fix this as soon as you can :D

This specific fix is for @Marcus111 only - please go into your Steam folders for Don't Starve Together \Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\<steamid>\client_save\ and delete the profile file to resolve the issue. 
 

@jicabyte Your provided client_log file is not indicating any errors or crashes. Please see our troubleshooting guide for steps to resolve the issue. Please also ensure that Don't Starve Together has been added to your security software's allowed/trusted programs list, and that there are no programs running in the background that could conflict with the game's initialization process.
