Despawning Pirate Boats delete all items dropped on them (Very Quickly).

Seems like a simple oversight but items (even krampus sacks and backpacks) left on pirate boats get deleted from the game very quickly when the pirate boats despawn. It would be nice if items dropped on the boat didn't get deleted with the boat or if the boat didn't despawn so quickly when moving a little bit away from them.
