When playing DST with a controller, if Auto-Pause is enabled, it is not possible to use items in your backpack to refuel/repair/etc. other items in your inventory, e.g. refueling your Miner Hat with Light Bulbs. It's also not possible to do so with items from open containers.
This feature could honestly do with some tweaking in general, too. The process of refueling items multiple times in succession is very tedious: focus inventory, find item, pick up item, go to other item, hit the refuel button, exit inventory focus, rinse and repeat.
Steps to Reproduce
While playing with a controller, with auto-pausing enabled:
1. Equip a backpack
2. Put light bulbs in it
3. Try to use them to refuel something in your inventory, such as a Miner Hat
