Can't interact with anything on Archaic Boat

I think this happened to me a few times a while ago. Sadly I couldn't remember much other than I was really freaked out. I believe I came to the conclusion that it was due to Wavey Jones showing up at night, but I need to test again to be sure.

Was the cargo opened when you tried interacting with the structures? I remember having this issue once and the cargo container didn't show up, but cargo was opened at the time this happened. 

I am not sure which containers I opened in what order, but jumping off the boat and even unloading it (moving far away from it for a while) didn't fix the issue. As I said it only fixed itself by restarting the server.

This looks very familiar to me, especially when mushlights are involved.

What you can try is keeping a lantern on you, and next time the issue occurs, equip your lantern to light up your surroundings. Then see if interactions become possible again.

I've had the same thing occur, and shining additional light onto the boat seems to fix it. Almost as if the glowcaps are too dim, and the game thinks they are in darkness.
Perhaps you are facing the similar issue, though I wouldn't know how exactly that bug occurs, it may require more troubleshooting...
