Cant chop down trees

Hello @Lailuh, welcome to the forums. Here's a few questions that I think are necessary to find out what's wrong:

• What character were you playing?
• What do you use to play K+M or Controller?
• Are all the controls in the options on default?
• Does it only happen when you play on your own server or it also happens when playing on servers owned and run by other people? 
• Are all the mods turned off, including the server mods that you activated when you hosted the server(if you did host it), it should be in the Host Game screen under the Mods tab(if any are active)?
• Have you tried to verify the integrity of the game cache yet, that usually fixes things?
• Can you confirm you're playing on the latest version? (Version List)
