I've had some situations lately where (probably a singular) lightbugs kept on appearing on me just to move back where it's from (at base). I didn't verify this but I think what's happening is that it was considered as a follower and would teleport on me when unloaded in the distance, as follower does. This did happen while I had even 3 bugs around me, and I only got it to stop after being on land and reaching to it so it would actually start to orbit around me once and for all.
Not too problematic of a bug but I can imagine this would cause quite a few lightbugs to go missing wherever in the world if that happens regularly.
Steps to Reproduce
I'm not sure, probably have many lightbugs in one spot, and when they start to follow some might be attempting to follow while they can't orbit around the player anymore because they've got maxed out ?
