Bootleg getaway not working with controller

So, when you try to use the boot with a controller and you try to trow it, it gets you to the map, but it doesn't appear the option to throw the boot nor appears the whirlportal icon, other thing that I saw was that when you enter the map you do get the option and the icon, but when you select a location the character tries to throw the boot but doesn't throw nothing.

English is not my first language, so sorry if this sounds unhinged

Steps to Reproduce

Equip the bootleg getaway and try to throw it

Go to bugs

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

I had the same issue while playing on PC before figuring out that the whirlpool requires some distance from the boat and land. Experiment a bit and try moving the boat and target location. Admittedly I have no idea how the controls fare on consoles but is worth trying. You are right though that the lack of indication leads to a confusion situation if you haven't used the item before.

The act was broken for a bit with controllers but was fixed on PC may be a bit for consoles to get the fix.
