Bone Helm/Armor Deconstruct returns(?)

As pictured, the Fuelweaver fossil helmet and armor are deconstructed into bone shards where as they ought to be returning fossils.
Fossils are one of the few remaining things that cannot be renewed and I had figured this would be the safe way to renew them, as with other boss mobs armors dropping their respective hard to renew items. (BQ Crown=Honey Comb.)

If this is intentional(?) could this be looked into being changed? The above reason to add renewability and to make a bit more sense (as the armors are made with fossils) would be very generous.
