Beefalos that are left on boat can wander off onto water when left off screen. Riding such beefalos will drown the rider immediately. There seems to have no other solution to get the beef off the water than using telelocator staff.
Steps to Reproduce
leave a beef on a boat with a salt lick, and go off screen for sometime. When coming back, the beef might be on river.
