I dont know why dev decide to pick a circle collision object for square pathfinding obstacle, but here is how to trick the system.
Step 1: Build wall near corner of pillar.

That it, that all it needed to trick path finding.

Here is how path finding treat it: And here is example of how it can be used to trick basic mobs's path finding. This work the same as old way to put wall near void/ocean to make one path door.
