Balatro static layout lack of Juicy Berries

  • Closed

This is a mechanism between static layout and Starting Resource Variety.

All static layouts have both Juicy Berry Bush and Regular Berry Bush, causing them to generate the corresponding berry bush when a different type of berry bush is selected in the Starting Resource of the world. The new Balatro static layout doesn't have that.

Therefore, when the Starting Resource is selected as Juicy Berry Bush, no Juicy Berry Bush will be generated next to it, nor will a Regular Berry Bush be generated

Steps to Reproduce
  1. generate a world with Juicy Berry Bush
  2. check Balatro static layout

User Feedback

This is currently intentional, adding the Juicy Berry Bushes makes the set piece feel cluttered and busy.

Is it also intended that berry bushes spawn in their unripen state on day 1? If you create a new world and walk around, every single berry bush in the game has berries on it ready to be picked. But the four berry bushes around the jester are looking as if someone just harvested those berries. Who took them and why? The setpiece doesn't spawn with a gobbler attached :)

Yes, that's intended. Only Jimbo knows why...
