The announce for the pirate raid in terms of the sound that plays and the character quote does not always appear. This is because the boat spawns at a radius at 40 units from the target platform, but also looks for players in a 40 unit radius to alert them. This means often times half of the boat area will be left out as can be seen from this visual:
To fix it, adding the radius of the platform the pirate raid is targeting to the 40 units for the alert announce should fix the issue and consistently alert all players on the boat.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Stand on boat
2. Have a pirate raid spawn
3. Be on the far side of your boat from the raid
4. Notice no alert.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
