I was gathering one of every type of seed to help a friend research every type of plant when I noticed this.
1. Have a stack of over 1 seeds in a fridge, a seed pack-it equipped and at least one empty slot in both. Also have no seeds of the type you're using in the seed pack-it.
2. Put all the seeds in your active slot (click them)
3. Put one seed back in the fridge (CTRL + CLICK an empty slot)
4. Quick-move the seed to your inventory with the seeds in your active slot (SHIFT+CLICK the 1-seed stack)
What will happen is that the seed will APPEAR to duplicate - you'll find one in your inventory and one in the seed pack-it. But after a little bit the seed in your inventory will disappear.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
