go near a tallbird midnight

wait for her to sleep 

try to wake her up

This hadn't been fixed for a long time now. All you gotta do is get her far away from her nest, and she'll be asleep forever.
Don't know what's causing this, but sleeping mechanics for mobs are quite broken in DST. Batilisks also never wake up, unlike in DS.
