Werepig becomes an invulnerable untargetable entity upon death

I've never seen this before, and I've had my fair share of killing pigs after turning them into werepigs.

Basically, I turned a pig into a werepig then proceeded to kill it as usual. But Upon death, the werepig dropped its loot as usual, but after the death animation was done, the werepig started a howl animation, then just stood there. It didn't agro on anything and it was untargetable.

After this happened, I went to kill some more spiders for one or two of in-game days. When I got back to the same pig village, I noticed that one of the pigs was not accepting monster meat. The option to give the meat wouldn't even appear. When it got dark, the pigman tried going back into its house, but it couldn't, which makes me believe this same pig was the werepig from before which somehow got glitched/bugged.

The attached picture is the pig trying to go in the house over and over without success.

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Turn a pigman into a werepig feeding it 4 monster meat.
  2. Kill the werepig.
  3. For some unknown reason, it doesn't properly die, starts a howl animation, then becomes untargetable.

User Feedback

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Changed Status to Fixed

Let us know if this is fixed in next hotfix.. It is likely a niche issue with timing of the Werepig giving up its target after death causing it to howl and enter a strange entity state.

Alright! Indeed, I think I was fighting the Werepig with the help of another pigman. I forgot to add this to the context.

Thanks! Have a good weekend!
