If Abi attack the tail part of the worm, Wendy seems cannot get Vex benefit by attack the head of the worm, or, at least no vex appearance (that white animation) happened.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Choose Wendy summon Abi
2. enrage Abi and use cure-all on her
3. go fight a great depth worm, Wendy attack its head, abi attack other part of it
4. no Vex appearance happened
