Thread URL For Workshop Mods Is Weird

Philip.
  • Closed

Looks like setting the forumthread variable in modinfo.lua doesn't actually change the url visited by clicking the mod button on the server listing screen. Only the already downloaded mods do that.

If this is intended then please let me know, because it seems a bit deprecated to me.

Since we are dealing with the backend stuff and mods now, it would be nice if this could get some care as well. I would appreaciate the option to set a custom thread url for mods in the server listing.

Thanks!

Philip

Steps to Reproduce

Set forumthread in modinfo.lua of your mod who's folder name start's with "workshop-" to whatever you want and see that it still attempts to use the default steam workshop url instead.

Ahh that's right, forumthread only works for mods that have been downloaded. We don't have that data synced across with the listing.

Ok, thank you for making this clean.

Do you have any plans to add this or something similiar in the future maybe? :)
