Shadow reaper requires full set of void robe and cowl to yield max damage.

Void Cowl + Shadow Reaper + 6 hits = 80 max damage.

Void Cowl + Void Robe + Shadow Reaper + 6 hits = 88 max damage.

Seems strange because Brightshade Helm + Brightshade sword can yield its max damage without armor(76 damage).


Steps to Reproduce

1. Wear Void Cowl and Shadow Reaper, hit the Punching bag.

2. Wear full Void set and Shadow Reaper, hit the Punching bag.

3. The damage is different.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Unclear if this is intended or not but this is because only the ramping damage portion of the setbonus was changed with the update. The setbonus still has 2 other benefits that have not been moved over to the cowl, those being +5 planar damage and 1.1x physical damage. The patch notes did not mention these benefits moving to the cowl but I will agree that it seems strange not to do so.

Here's what the damage calculation looks like for each:

  • Reaper w/Cowl after 6 hits: (38) physical damage + (18 + 4 * 6) planar damage = 80 total damage.
  • Reaper w/Set after 6 hits: (38 * 1.1) physical damage + (18 + 5 + 4 * 6) planar damage = 88.8 total damage.
