Sometimes some of the trails don't aggro onto a single clearly hostile creature and will just go off in a random direction. It looks like the aggro range is just too small.
Steps to Reproduce
Spawn a single hostile creature. I used Deerclops for this.
Use Shadow Fire at varying ranges
Observe some of the trails do not target hostile creature
