- Bug 1: In the Weaver's second phase, when it is pulling out the key, if a player enters the atrium and interrupts its action, it won't immediately summon the Invisible Hands and Weave Shadows to protect itself. Instead, it will perform two normal attacks before activating its skills.
- Bug 2: The Weaver doesn't target players who are outside the atrium area.
Before the Weaver enters its second phase, players can repeatedly enter and exit the atrium to prevent it from using its self-protecting skills. By attacking during the brief window before it uses its skills, players can exploit this mechanic to deal damage.
These bugs have been discovered for many years, but they usually require the use of the Cheating Wand, so they are not mainstream. However, with the recent changes that make teleportation and ranged attacks much cheaper, many characters can now easily exploit these mechanics. The following video demonstrates this method using Walter and Wortox (they can execute this strategy with minimal effort and almost no difficulty). As far as I know, other characters like Maxwell can use the "dance" ability, Wendy can use the "escape" ability, and regular characters can achieve this with Snail Shell Armor or the Cheating Wand.
Suggestion for Fixing the Bugs:
-
Retain Bug 2: Allow players to exploit the Despair Pillar to keep the Weaver in place and remotely whittle it down.
-
Modify Bug 1: When the Weaver is interrupted while pulling out the key, it should immediately summon the Invisible Hands and cast Weave Shadows to protect itself.
To reduce the length of the video, the character consumed a Chili Lightning Horn Freeze, which does not affect the test results.
Steps to Reproduce
-
Reduce the Weaver's health to the point where it is about to enter its second phase, then teleport out of the atrium area.
-
Wait for the Weaver to crouch down to pull the key, then teleport back in to attack it until it performs two normal attacks.
-
Teleport out of the atrium area again and wait for the Weaver to crouch down to pull the key once more.
-
Repeat this process until the Weaver is defeated.
