I believe the night berries should only grow with the Horticulture books rather than Silviculture.
Side commentary on balance - I think it's fine if these are growable with the Horticulture books. There's plenty of ways to combat darkness already, and making these mass acquirable doesn't really change the need for any of them. (unlike the balance issue with gem trees which would obviate the ruins)

spawn night berry tree
pick berries
grow with silviculture
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
