Burn Duration skill interacts strangely with slurtle explosions

Lighting Slurtles/Snurtles on fire typically results in an explosion after a short period of time.

For whatever reason the increased duration delays the actual explosion by a significant amount. This also affects slurtle mounds.

I can't tell if this is intentional or not.
