Wigfred wont hack or hammer on boat

Hack and Hammer is not working when im Wigfred. While on the boat if hammer is equip, Hammer wont work when trying to hammer dead ships. Machete wont work while trying to hack whales as well.

Hack and Hammer is not working when im Wigfred. While on the boat if hammer is equip, Hammer wont work when trying to hammer dead ships. Machete wont work while trying to hack whales as well.

I've had the same problem with hacking. Those darn dead whales are mocking me.

I'm pretty sure I've read that you need to blow up the dead ships with one of the grenade items, though. I was able to hammer one of my old boats just fine.
