    unsure if this happens with the comic too, or if this is even is a bug, but if you collect the golden pin and then hard reset, it will be gone as if you've already collected it, but doesn't count when you complete the level. it's not blue or seethrough, just gone. walking over the spot where it should be again doesn't let you recollect it. hard resetting twice returns it and allows it to be collected again.
