Controller issues

I have a Xbox one wireless controller connected to my phone (galaxy s9) via Bluetooth.

But when I start the game, the world continually rotates and pressing RT does nothing, it's supposed to open the inventory, LT scrolls through the hotbar with out stopping until you let go of the trigger and it resets back to the first slot instead of opening crafting and the interact buttons don't work. 

 

Contacting the controller with a ish cable to the phone works a bit better, letter buttons work then but triggers still don't. 

 

Any help to get it to work?
