Am not sure if pickled mealwood is the same as sludge berries wherein they both have incredibly long shelf life. I assume this to be the case since I'm using pickled mealwood to get through the early game without the refrigerator.

I think pickled mealwood should be made in the microbe musher in a much higher volume per operation. This would give players a way to prolong food shelf life without a sous since not many like the pickled mealwood anyhow.

Pickled mealwood still spoils but a bit slower. It`s considered useless to pickle it as people store their mealwood in CO2. The pickling was supposed to remove germs from the mealwood but there`s almost no way germs get on it in the first place so it`s pretty weird.

Oh. So that's what pickled mealwood's deal is. I see. I just use it to preserved large amounts of mealwood right now to prep for many dupes. I do think it would be nice if mealwood pickles don't spoil.
