They transfer it to the radiator, and then to the environment, and just air won't be enough to cool tons of solid material. What you need is a device that would transfer the heat from solids to liquids, or from solids to other solids (e.g. cool regolith, melt ice). I once suggested something like this in the form of the ice grinder, which would be capable of only mix ice and water together, but maybe a more generalized building for any heat exchange between substances would be better.
