Zerakiel Posted July 27, 2018 Share Posted July 27, 2018 I love oxygen not included and was always fairly content with how the game has been so far but the cosmic update has left me wanting more. So I sat around and thought about what could they really do from here to make the game more interesting. While sitting there letting the dupes go about their daily lives it came to me when I saw the broken planet in the background on the surface. What if your dupes could leave and start again on another world a more hostile world with the same veteran dupes. On the asteroid we start on is everything our dupes would need to make a rocket to escape, so I thought wouldn't it be cool to build an escape vehicle that you can launch at the big broken planet. Once the rocket arrives it crashes leaving behind some of the materials used to build it and killing some of your dupes randomly you then need to start over on the surface of this planet that has no atmosphere or a toxic atmosphere. This world is much larger than the asteroid you started on to the point that it wraps around at the edges or goes from coast to coast (kind of like Terraria), the oceans themselves are toxic maybe comprising of some new liquids we don't have yet in the game that don't come from extreme cold or heat. your dupes would need to tunnel down into the planet (its what they already know how to do anyway) to find fresh water, but with the ultimate goal of finding the headquarters of Gravitas and find out what happened to the planet. Your dupes start out with exosuits obviously but no way to refill them till you can rebuild those features and on the surface, you don't need to worry about meteor storms as often but they do need to worry about aggressive wild life. Anyways just an idea I thought of, I hope this inspires the dev team to try something like this in the future.
