Hero Complex Posted June 20, 2018 Share Posted June 20, 2018 (edited) So I already have two collaborators, but they're both busy with their own mods, so at best I get help from one of them when I ask them questions. Their contributions were super helpful, and some of the work they've been doing on their own mods continues to contribute to my projects. But, there's a lot I want to do, and while I am making progress, it is taking way longer than I want it to. I think people get scared away thinking this is some massive commitment, but any help is a plus. Maybe you just want to do one thing. Maybe you just want to do art. This can be some massive collection of a bunch of people's work. I would love that actually. There's two main mods that I'm looking for help with, and one that needs some upgrading that I haven't gotten around to because I've been working exclusively on the Starving Floor. Here's some of my plans for them, but hopefully you would bring some ideas too! Starving Floor Revamped the final class, the Researcher (a worker class that collects Ancient Butterflies that spawn from fallen foes, converts them to research points, and then uses those to craft things) battle music I don't think this works on dedicated servers yet, and I haven't even looked into the caves turning the physical store into a non-physical one (it makes things messy and has an item limit), it also needs to be stocked with more items a screen that lets you choose your class and skills before you spawn ...the skills need to be added still (it will use the Green Framework by the maker of the Green World mod) boss battles (right now, it goes Deerclops->Goose/Goose-->Bearger-->Dragonfly-->All 4, but I would prefer just ONE boss at the end of each game, beefed up of course with backup mobs and stuff like that, also some custom ones wouldn't hurt) a bunch of tweaks like changing the arena from basalt to just water, increasing the range and rate at which enemies will attack players, and making all mobs able to attack walls custom content like enemies and items maybe some additional game modes if we ever get there (Forge-like, an Escape or Die crossover, survival, versus of some sort, etc.) Escape or Die not actually a mod yet (I have a modinfo file and that's it haha) basic premise is teleportato pieces are locked in safes and must be obtained by getting the key after completing a task, all while surviving an increasingly hostile world (I haven't even gotten around to trying to make the safes and keys work outside of the gorge yet) there's difficulties ranging from very easy to very hard, which will affect how many parts must be earned rather than found, how hard those tasks are, and what kind of finale the players will get would have finales that could be a boss fight (even taking one from the starving floor), a trial that players must survive, they have to protect the teleportato for some time like with the starcaller event, or something else like a scavenge event or they have to get somewhere quick, etc.) eventually, it would be nice to be able to chain worlds, but baby steps haha Throwable Weapons needs to be updated to use the Forge throwing mechanics and to support anything that can be held (it was the first mod I did, so the coding is VERY inefficient, as I basically just copied Throwable Spears to a bunch of other weapons instead of making a framework that works for anything that can be held Lucien from Green World is a good example to work with, and I talk with the Green World creator a lot, and they're okay with this mod using that Interested?
