calibayzone Posted May 30, 2018 Share Posted May 30, 2018 To build a valve you have to place the ghost, wait for the dupe to deliver than build, and then set it to whatever setting you want. Wouldn't it be nice to avoid this micro? I propose: Adjusting ghost settings. Everything from valve flow to logic to door permissions, etc can also be set before dupes build it. The UI popup marks ghosts as "ghost". Building over plants, if plants are marked as "dig". Building over deconstructed areas. The ghosts get first click so settings are more easily made to the ghosts. This allows disconnecting pipes: just deconstruct and rebuild. Deconstructed pipes retain liquid/gas in them (instead of spilling it) if ghost pipes are to be built there. Copy-paste. Pasted as ghosts for the dupes to build. Build order: Make sure they build an escape route first! Have a "region" box that where you select "no region (default)" "a" "b" "c", and so on. Everything in "a" must be done before anything in "b" commences, etc. Also useful for i.e. sweeping a room clean before sealing it. Perma-mop: Dupes will keep said tile liquid-free unless it floods so fast there is "too much liquid". Also, some liquids still don't appear in the bottle emptier such as molten copper (but magma does).
