Eryn Fee
I had a starving dupe and they simply chose to have a shower to clean off the grimy status rather than eat which in my rookie play-through, was the difference between them living and dying. I suggest an in-built prioritisation with status ailments that will cause death to be at the top. As per usual I wouldn't mind a toggle-able menu to choose this myself but at a certain point there can be too many priority menus. BDelacroix
I ended up in a death spiral of priorities. Colony was starving with a field full of fruit and mealwood. One dupe died on the medical bed to slimelung because nobody would tend to her. The other dupes were either hopping between the two massage tables I had (thus gaining no benefit) or walking all the way to the cold zone to build exactly 1 piece of pipe or dig exactly 1 tile then run all the way back to the showers to start, then leave the shower and walk somewhere to do nothing then back to the shower. I had to switch off the showers to stop the death spiral oddly enough. Things finally calmed down and I turned them back on. I know what happened to the previous inhabitants of the asteroid. They were too stupid to live. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90328-food-priority-issue/#findComment-1031128 Share on other sites
Smuch
In a similar way,I have to say, it /is/ gallng to see a staring duplicant tat wasabot to havest some mealwood plant and eat the couple of meallice that would let them survive a day longer instead turn around because the cycle just reached night while I undestand that artifical inteligence is hard to code and this game is still a game in progress, it would be nice if in the future duplicants could prioritize their needs a little better. A vital need like finding food when starving should take priority over sleeping, showering or using th massae table to reduce stress as is already sort of te case with suffocation.
