Dark screen and HUD issues

I have my HUD set to max size but I can't move things from 1 slot to another because the items move slightly above my finger, with the dark screen whenever it gets dark and I place a fire, I hear the noise of the fire and my character doesn't complain about the darkness but my screen is completely dark until morning.
