Edjren
The way I like to play involves specializing roles and shifting dupes around as needed. I like my builders, for instance, to just concentrate on building and to a lesser extent digging and little else. While my couriers concentrate on supply and support tasks and don't build or dig. If I have a big build project I need done, or a big clean up project, or I want to increase production in one area or another, I'll shift my dupes, assigning more builders, couriers, operators or farmers as needed. I find that this shifting of the work force on a macro scale is a more intuitive way to adapt my work force to the current situation. Currently though, every time I switch a Dupe's job, I need to go in and adjust all of their non-wrench priorities. It would be nice if I could customize the default priorities for an occupation once and know that every Dupe that joins that branch will have the set of priorities that I want everyone with that occupation to have. Ceribus
There is a check box in the top right of the Job window "Enable Auto-Priority" that will automatically make the task linked to the assigned job for the dupe be their top priority Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89029-customize-priorities-by-occupation/#findComment-1018909 Share on other sites
Edjren
Enabling auto-priority only switches the wrench priority. The non-wrench priorities are unaffected and need to be changed manually every time the Dupe changes jobs.
