Making a thirst mod for the game

i know some kind of thirst mods already exist but it will not be just a thirst mod it will have some other stuff but il start with the thirst , anyone knows how i could make that ? how can i make another meter top right near food meter ? could i just copy everything from the hunger meter ? and how can i add bottles to the game. Thanks.
