Kolascay Posted March 8, 2018 Share Posted March 8, 2018 Welp I got a pretty fun kiting basics-to-intermediate map. If you need help with any attack patterns or certain mobs just hit me up! Honestly, the only hard thing about the caves is a reliable food source. Bring buttloads beforehand and you'll be fine as long as you have a lantern or miner hat. Eat mushrooms for sanity and health, watch ground for shadows during earthquakes. Ruins: You don't nessecarily need to fight anything. Make sure you have tons of gear prepared and go in guns blazing with your... hammer and bush hat. Hammer those piles for gears. Fighting mobs in the ruins isn't required. If you start bunnymen wars, you can get tons of carrots, and good meat. Ludicrous amounts if you make a specially designed bunny farm. There's also the trick of planting spiders next to some rock lobsters, then using a bird cage to make eggs from the monster meat. Add 1 cave fern and you have pierogis. Cave bananas also give fruit every 4 days. There's also depth worms... after day 100, for the price of a few rocks, you can easily get up to 3 glow berries, every 6-11 days. Probably better to use those to refuel moggles than eat them though. The hardest thing about caves AFAIK is sanity, especially with Wolfgang's fear of the dark. I have yet to experience: -Dragon fly -Beequeen; Although you can hammer the hive for honey which i do alot and often find myself making my base near there -ruins And I have ventured through the caves only to make an underground base If you were to be playing with me, you'd find me fighting mobs, mostly tentacles, and gathering and growing food for crockpots most of the time.
