      [UPDATED] Physical Megapack Disc Issues   04/16/2018

      Update 5/11/2018 We do not have any more information at this time. The last we spoke to 505 indicated that the discs should be ready very soon. We will likely have more information next week; hopefully with full explanation of when and how to get new discs.    Updated: 4/27/2018

      On April 17th, the Don't Starve Megapack was released. Almost immediately, it was discovered that the wrong content was printed on the PS4 retail version of Don’t Starve Mega Pack (the Xbox One version is not affected). The disc contained Don't Starve Together, but was without Don't Starve, Reign of Giants and Shipwrecked. As soon as we confirmed the problem we contacted our retail publisher to find out how this happened and what could be done. It's taken some time to get this far, but this is all the information we have at this time. The current status of the issue is as follows: New copies are currently in print and will be on shelves ASAP, hopefully within a few weeks.  When the new discs arrive in stores, players who already purchased misprinted discs will be able to exchange the disc for a new one in store. Details will follow as we figure out the exact timing, the procedures with specific retailers and what the exchange will entail.  Players who already purchased the faulty disc previous to 4/26/2018 can now contact Klei support HERE for a Playstation Store voucher code that includes Don't Starve Together, Don't Starve, Shipwrecked and the Reign of Giants DLC that you can play now. Please specify your country as certain vouchers only work in certain regions.  New purchasers of the Megapack in store as of 4/26/2018 should be given a voucher at the time of purchase on your receipt. If you do not get a code, contact us ALL purchasers will have a path to get a new disc when they are ready. We do not have details at this time, but we are comitted to ensuring that all players get what they purchased.  We are hearing from some players that some retailers are telling players that they will not be exchanging discs. We believe this to be incorrect and that particular person or location is just misinformed. 505 has ensured us that they are doing their best to make sure these discs are being replaced for all players. We will not allow anybody to fall through the cracks here. We will buy and ship the discs ourselves if we have too.   This was our first major retail release and we're extremely disappointed that our players have been let down with their purchase of the Don't Starve Megapack. We're doing our best to make sure this issue gets resolved as quickly as possible. Thanks everybody for your support and patience. We'll keep you updated.    UPDATE: (4/26/2018) We are now ready to send out vouchers to players who purchased the physical version of the Don't Starve Megapack - These codes will allow players to download and play Don't Starve and DLC as well as Don't Starve Together To get a voucher players can contact as at our support site: http://support.kleientertainment.com/customer/portal/emails/new  For the subject, choose "PS4 Megapack" and fill in the form and we'll get you fixed up as soon as possible.  We will require a picture of your receipt, your Klei account ID and the region you are located in (so we can give you the proper voucher).  UPDATE: (4/24/2018) Earlier this week, we discovered that the wrong content was printed on the PS4 retail version of Don’t Starve Mega Pack (the Xbox One version is not affected).   1. In that he explains that you cannot relocate bishops ever, under any circumstances. Broken clockworks don't seem to be any exception. A horrid waste of valuable gears to repair them IMO.
  2. It's certainly an idea. You might check out the Birds and Berries and Trees and Flowers for Friends mod, which adds a lot of trees and complex stuff to the game (and is also ridiculously OP)

  6. Sorry, that doesn't remove it from any of the menus, as far as I can tell. I uninstalled it, and the next time I accidentally misclicked on it the only difference was it tried to reinstall itself again. It definitely should be the solution, even if it isn't!

  11. We here at Glei Entertainment* have some special long awaited improvements for you, for the up-coming finth year anibersarry of Donut Carve. All science machines (alchemy, shadow manipulator, pseudoscience etc) now have a durability and a limited number of uses Winona can now craft trusty tape twice as fast Walls now only last 3 days before damaging themselves into rubble. Moon rock walls last 4 Fishing rod "fish and reel-in" attack mechanics have been implemented for all weapons. Depth Dwellers now spawn from the Florid Postern Characters are now limited to 4 crafting recipes, though they can forget one recipe to learn the blueprint for a new one Crock pot recipes are randomized per game and change once every season You can now walk past the edge of the land (this now results in instant death) Deerclop's attack now hits everyone on screen Walrus tusks and krampus sacks have been rebalancegooded down to 10% of their original drop chance All pets now have a point and laugh animation for whenever their owner dies. Boulders will sometimes drop gunpowder. If not mined within three days, they will explode, destroying all their contents and setting nearby boulders on fire. Wickerbottom can still craft books, but can no longer read them. Pigmen now only leave their houses if you lure them with meat on the ground. The spear has been replaced with a foam bat, that does just as much damage. The sanity meter has been split into a happiness meter, an alarminess meter, a grossedoutiness meter, and a scaredarkness meter. Abigail is now aggressive against neutral mobs Willow's lighter now has a light radius equivalent to a thermal stone.   12. I had an idea the other day, not sure how/if it would/should work. But bunnymen have code for a "brain" in brains/bunnymen.lua that tells them to run away at low HP, and I was thinking wouldn't it be neat if Abigail had something like that? You could add the code from the bunnyman brain into Abigail's brain, making it possible for her to run away at low HP. Which is awesome. But the brains also govern what sorts of things the bunnymen shout while attacking, running, or whatnot. So what I'd really like is to take Abigail's woOoOoOo sound, and have it play upon certain state changes, like when she starts attacking, or gets above a HP threshold to regain her bravery, or gets low enough to retreat, or defeats the enemies and starts following Wendy again. Y'know, to actually use it for her speaking, instead of just random background noise. You still couldn't tell what the heck she's saying, but the timing of her ghost noises would be more meaningful. Plus then she would shut the flip up when you're just standing around camp trying to cook stuff. Only problem with this: her sound file is just a big loop of occasional woOoOoOos and lots of silence, and I wouldn't know how to edit it to get the woOoOoOo sound specifically. I also don't know if it'd be way too OP or not, or if anyone would actually want a mod like that. Or if editing the brain is sufficient to do this behavior, or if there's something else I'd need to do.
  13. Oh, there's also this strategy where you use Antlion's helpful fun boulders to get all the monkeys stuck right next to something flammable and a dwarf star. Because ash is way more valuable than cave bananas! Anyone with some slurtle slime, a star caller's staff, a lazy explorer and a pissed off Antlion could pull that one off.
  14. I like to look for "frustration reduction" mods which make characters act more intuitive, with less random chance for error, without necessarily being more or less buffed. Abigail Call for instance makes Wendy super buffed, if you compare Wendy to Wes maybe. Normally, Abigail might as well not exist at all, because she dies the moment you encounter tree guards, semi-large hound waves, hound mounds, bosses, frogs... basically anything except spiders and bees. And spiders can wreck Abby, since she makes the green ones come out. And never deaggros. Of course I haven't played much as Wendy, but it just seemed like a nice mod for making Wendy mains have more fun at the game, and more use of their unique mechanic. A "balancing" mod might make Maxwell have higher HP (because seriously... he's not a little girl!) but have his shadow puppets act more slowly, or less effectively. In particular, shadow loggers really shouldn't be able to out-chop Woodie. I haven't seen something like that, but that'd be an example of a de-buffing mod that made a character more intuitive, and less randomly inclined to keel over. So... mods that look promising in that regards, that I've found include: Abigail Call Twigs & Matches Wilson Rework Willow Reworked Repair Mod [w/ Winona Perks] Wickerbottom Rework I'd like to emphasize that I haven't played enough to be able to tell whether a mod is too much of a buff or a nerf (150 sanity? seriously?). These are just possibilities that I've run across. I'd also like to mention that I don't necessarily agree with all of the decisions made in these mods (seriously? 150?) but these are the ones that seemed promising, overall. Using them myself, I'd probably make my own bastardized copies of them with everything tweaked differently, if I cared. But honestly, I don't. The characters are already a lot of fun to play. The strongest aren't free of peril, and the weakest aren't absolutely impossible. There are some clear winners, who are not "balanced" so to speak, but even without modding, the weak characters can still be fun to play, and the strong ones can be a chore, since their "strength" is some cheesy thing that takes 2 winters to set up. Except Winona. Winona just kind of sucks.
  15. Little known fact, there were kiwis in the game before it was released, but they were hunted to extinction
