Dopey Posted December 9, 2017 Share Posted December 9, 2017 Just a quality of life improvement. Similar to requests to display what material things are made out of. It would be nice to have an overlay heat map of thermal conductivity of everything. Low value color for Abyssalite's 1e-5 up to the high value color in the 80's or whatever is needed for the highest value of conductivity. Would go well with the temperature overlay to see the main paths heat has to travel and would make it easier to see what walls and such are made of. Not sure how to deal with displaying values for walls vs. pipes, vents, wires, etc. Toggle-able properties heat map for each specific overlay? e.g. In the Power overlay's guide window a set of radial buttons to choose coloring by temperature, melting/overheat temp., thermal conductivity. Not sure why you'd care about the other properties aside from temperature and conductivity... Following along this thought you could add options to display a pressure heat map (I've seen requested) in and around ventilation while in that overlay and similar for the plumbing overlay maybe if anyone cares to more easily see highlighted puddles of liquids laying around.
