Character files

Hi, I am creating my own character and I don't know how to code, sooo, I want to take some code from Maxwell (or waxwell if you look into the files), and to take his Codex Umbra and what it does into my character! And to take Wickerbottom's books and be able to craft the books in the Codex Umbra. I will rename these (Codex Umbra etc.) to make the original of course. So, if any help on how to find these files I would appreciate it!
