alcurad90
Algae Terriums, cost 300g/s water and 30g/s Algae to produce only 40g/s O2 The resource it cost is over 5 times to Algae Oxidizors and Water Electrolysis, While water and algae can't reproduce So what's the meaning of this stupid thing except showing the low IQ point of who build it like me? Why not change it to use fertilizer instead of algae, and reduce the cost of water? That's what plants always do Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/76154-whats-the-meaning-of-algae-terriums/ Share on other sites
SpaceKing
Deoxidizers produce oxygen. Terrariums convert CO2 to O2. Crushing algae doesn't get rid of carbon dioxide. At least in theory; the numbers are very wonky right now, I agree. Real plant convert water to O2 while CO2 to sugar, while we just lose both Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/76154-whats-the-meaning-of-algae-terriums/#findComment-884856 Share on other sites
Bloc97
Algae terrariums should produce algae, and people eating food and inhaling oxygen should produce water. Without those the photosynthesis/cellular respiration cycle is broken. edon.g
I agree that they are useless in their current state. It doesn't make sense for it to consume algae. At least make it have an initial algae cost and then consume only water. Taking two non-renewable resources at the same time makes it so unviable... Another idea would be to make them work only when in light so that the other resource consumptions can be lowered or removed. I'd love to see more botanic aspects in the game. I don't like that sustainability is focused so much on industry. We should have more playstyle choices for late game. Agreed, I find it silly that algae needs a constant supply of algae in order to produce CO2. Water and CO2 is understandable, but more algae is stupid Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/76154-whats-the-meaning-of-algae-terriums/#findComment-888037 Share on other sites
