I recently started playing with less dupes then i usually do (5) and its going surprisingly well, to a point where i just have to manage a little stress and harvest some plants but other then that its getting kind of boring. The main idea: Perhaps we could have some sort of activity to solve this, i'd recommend adding more diseases or perhaps insects that infestate your base and you have to get rid of them? Creature No.1: A rare creature that leeches to one of your exposed wires and sucks your electricity. While sucking energy the bug glows in a bright yellow color like a lamp. It survives purely from electricity so turning it off for that particular wire will kill it (original idea from @HusseyMan) Creature No.2: A rare fish that lives in your local water supply, it intimidates your dupes when they try to get some water (increasing stress) and if they get too close it bites them and runs away avoiding confrontation. This creature will eventually lay eggs and try to spread. During night time it will feed on your water and make weird slurping noises. To kill it one must insert the end of a powered wire inside the water supply. Creature No.3: A rare bug that eats your plants. This bug will slowly eat your plants, this can be resolved by simply crushing the bug in 1 hit, however if went unnoticed will grow bigger and start eating faster and eventually try to find your food storage and munch on that. Creature No.4: Rats! Rats will munch on food that is not stored in food containers and will have a high chance of spreading decease from on dupe to another. Rats are more likely to visit areas with contaminated water. They will automatically go away if no exposed food is present and the area is clean of contaminated water/oxygen. Illness No.1: The flu. This would happen if your dupe gets exposed to high amounts of cold atmosphere for extended amounts of time. Cured with medicine. While this illness is active dupe will visually look sick and show the common symptoms of this illness(coughing, sneezing etc.) Once cured dupe will gain cold immunity and will be less likely to catch the flu next time. To not hurt newer players all of the above would have to fairly rare occurrences or be present in small dosages while also adding some interesting elements to the game. Post your ideas down below. rdrazga Posted March 16, 2017 Share Posted March 16, 2017 Addition of diseased air breathed by dupes until they are cured will have a chance to infect other dupes that breathe it in. the air would of course become un-diseased as the bacteria would die after a little while. This would make infection more of a risk if one dupe is infected and needs to be cured.
