PsychoticKitten
Hey there, so I've been playing the game on and off for a day now - really enjoying it - and I'm still in the process of discovering most things. However, there is one minor Quality of Life improvement that I thought of right away when starting the game. This might be a personal thing, depending on my playstyle, but I wanted to give feedback on it anyway. As someone who likes to for example "insert their friends" into games like these I often try to get my Dupes "just right" (the creative friend being creative, but also suffering from a bad bowel etc.) only to finally get it and enter a world that I might not actually like and want to reroll. So the hour spent until then, rolling Dupes, has basically been wasted and I have to start from scratch. It's a problem I've already run across in similiar games such as Rimworld. Now the solution with that one finally was a community mod that allows you to save up to a certain number of "preset" Dupes you've rolled at one point. So I was thinking it would be really nice if something like that could be included into ONI in some capacity. Possible versions when (creating a New Game, not the printed Dupes later on) might be a) A save button on each individual dupe, allowing you to save just this one. You could then pick & mix later when creating a new team of 3. or b) An option to just "save this team of 3 starting Dupes". So you would still have to compose a balanced team first, but could load it in again for a new game at any time after that. There could also be a limitation to this (or not, whichever the devs prefer). Say you can only save up to 3 teams or maybe 5 Dupes at any given time, having to overwrite one previously created if you want to save a new one after that limit has been reached. Now, this is not a "make or break" kind of feature, obviously, but it could save the "perfectionists" (or nit-pickers like myself ) a lot of time at the start of the game that can then be spent actually building up your base.
