ittybritty
People have been talking about how Beefalo taming is "Not worth it" I disagree. HOWEVER, I have thought of a neat little feature for riding beefalos that might make them seem a little more worth it! Sleighs! Sleighs for friends and supplies! Hook up your beefalo, load up your cargo, take it for a ride! They'd probably actually be WAGONS in practice, but I think a nice festive sleigh might be a good optional skin for them. ANYWAY! Think of the possibilities! It could function as a mobile chest that actually KEEPS UP WITH YOU (Sorry chester)! Put it on a rider beefalo and take your friends and their weapons swiftly to battle! Or to visit the pig king! Of course, there would be two different types of wagon, one meant for people, one meant for items, and they'd all probably be made of wood. Anywho, fun AND functional! Ecu
This is one of the things I was actually considering regarding an overhaul concept for Beefalo riding. The idea would be to essentially implement Shipwrecked style features via the saddle. This would allow you to have a bunch of different accessories that you could add to make your Beefalo more useful. However, I would say that I would likely only allow them to pull sleighs (or other such attachments) when ridden and have them stay put if not ridden. This would encourage the correct accessory for the task, and even give a bit more control over things. It would also avoid having essentially a second backpack. Chester already covers that function. ittybritty
Cargo pulling has been a livestock thing since livestock has been a thing, be the cargo human or object. As for chester, there is only one of him and he's slow as heck. In order to keep the fuzzy boy relevant, we could possibly have a weight limit on item pulling? Or weight limit as an excuse for less room in the sleigh? Regardless, I find that unneeded as chester requires no resources while beefalos and carts do. I fully agree with only having them pull sleighs while ridden, though. I am fully in support of cargo sleighs. I just feel sleighs should be restricted to only being pulled while ridden, which you seem to agree with. ittybritty
I must have misread your last sentance. I saw "I would avoid" Rather than "It would avoid". I thought you meant you didn't support the cargo sleigh and I apologize. Besides, they would make lousy chesters anyway. They're slow as heck when they're not initially running up to you.
