Implement all type of berry bushes in a DST world

Recommended Posts

Hello starving members,

With the past ‘’disease’’ mechanic, all of our ‘’Juicy berry Bushes’’ died off in our world. This issue has been fixed and I like how disease works at the moment. The problem is that we only have two bushes left in our world and we rarely find a new one. The spawn rate and location of a newly spawned bushes is so low, we just quit collecting this kind of resource altogether. As for now I really don’t like ''Juicy'' Berry Bushes. I like the mechanic how the grow, how they have high spoil rates and how they look. I just want that, when I create a world, I don’t want that this to be the only type of bush you can get. Now I don't use berries anymore too make any cooking recipes and I miss having any issues with turkeys. Berries was one of my favorite aspects in the game and it just doesn’t feel complete.

Ideas:

  • In world generation, implement all type of berry bushes so they will 100% spawn in a world. (Juicy berry, pig village berries, and regular berry bushes)

  • I like to see a faster rate of spawning berry bushes and it would be even greater if other types of berry bushes spawn so we can have more variations and berry farms.

  • Cycle trough disease periods: If all berry bushes die because of disease, let another kind of bush spawn somewhere in its place. If farms become to big let disease have an higher attack rate so you can’t develop a berry bush farm larger then what the world offers.

  • Other kind of bushes spawn in different seasons. When you are longer  in a  world you will have  higher or lower spawn rate depending on the season , how much of a type is present. (In spring you will have more juicy berries spawning, in autumn more regular or pig village berries)

P.S. This is my second post of this issue.  I thought my first topic wasn’t clear on this issue, so I made a second one!
