Hey guys!

As the title suggests I'm making a character for a friend that has an increased freezing and overheating rate. I've done some looking around but I just can't find anything to help me. I'm pretty sure it's just something I'm missing on this line to set a value, but I could be completely wrong (I've never touched LUA before!)

inst.components.temperature. =

I assume the rate is part of the temperature component, but what comes after that last period? Any help is appreciated.

EDIT:
an update because I'm dumb and totally didn't notice this!

inst.components.temperature.inherentsummerinsulation = 120

Is it possible to set the insulation to a negative value to make a character overheat/freeze much faster?

is this forum dead? i'm curious because i need help too. if it were alive, i'm sure you'd get an answer by now because it seems very simple. but maybe that's why they're not answering you? i know this has been asked many times. try & search. i'm sure you'll find the answer.

anyway, I'm no pro, not even close. but, i know for cold you can do: inst.components.insulator:SetInsulation(TUNING.INSULATION_SMALL). You know where to find "tuning" i'm sure. there may be "tiny" for both cold & hot. i remember seeing "overheat_temp = 70". maybe you can try that at a lower number?
