Don't cancel planting when red (wrong spot)

Hi. I didn't know how to put it in few simple words, so I'm not sure if the title is clear enough.
So, am I missing some option? Is there an option to make planting NOT cancel in a wrong spot (when it's red, not green), just make it NOT plant and stay in your hand? I'm playing mainly as Woodie and I can't stand planting trees when in last moment i accidentaly change mouse position by a little bit and the sapling I'm trying to plant changes color to red, I click before I notice and I need to pick it up again from my inventory.

A possibility to plant a tree behind another tree without rotating camera would be great too!

Unfortunately, the UI and sometimes game in general leaves a lot to be desired as far as smooth, convenient and intuitive gameplay goes. Some things are so annoying or unintuitive to do, that they make you wonder if the game has really been playtested at all. What you speak of is indeed a known and annoying problem, and there are (or were, not sure if they are up to date) mods to do what you speak of.

Still waiting for a sane way to properly build walls in latest DST, along with planting many items in a row or grid. It almost seems if walls were designed to be tedious to place on top of already being not particularly useful in vanilla, though surely that isn't really the case. :\

Yes, i really hate planting stuff cause this happens all the time and you have to slow down and get annoyed.
