Blocking the screen closes the game

My device is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.

I played the game for a short bit, wanted to check something before writing on the forums. Then I blocked my screen to save the battery. Took my time browsing and writing on the forums. Afterwards I unblocked the screen and, as mentioned in the title, the game is closed.

When I unlock the screen I am on the app list. When taking a look what apps are open, there's Don't Starve on the list. Upon opening the app it starts launching, as if it was just opened.

The same happens here, although if I press the main button in the device and then block the screen, when I go back to the game it's working fine.
