Transferring DST worlds to different computers... Help?

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Some friends and I started a world yesterday and its the farthest we have ever gotten (Winter day 25 lol). I play on two different computers and I was wondering how I could move the world from one computer to the other. I have tried to send the file to the computer I am on now but it appears that there is no Save folder.

Here is the folder where i started the world

Here is where I am attempting to move the world

Also, if I play on one computer and switch to the other, will the changes be saved?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. Servers are held in clusters numbered the way they are organised in the slots. So if you world is in the second slot, you want to copy Cluster_2. That should suffice. There is a useful, crash-proof mod which expands the number of slots you can have to some greater number.

If I were you, I would do either of those:

1) if you will not miss the worlds on your second computer:

- delete all worlds from the game on your second computer, then, from your OS, the contents of DoNotStarveTogether

- copy-paste the contents of the same folder from your first computer there

- reload the game and give it some time to accept the changes

2) through a mod

 -install the mod I mentioned

- copy just the cluster your winter world resides in to a different location to rename it safely

- rename it to Cluster_6 (by default, you can have five clusters)

- copy this folder into DoNotStarveTogether

- reload the game and give it some time to accept the changes
