Raconite
Hey people. I'm building a custom character for DST, and I have most of her dialog and stuff sorted (and have someone working on the sprites), but I had a concept for a distinct mechanic for her, and as a huge newb at this, I'm hoping you good people can help me. I was thinking that the character can expend some sanity to cause a targeted creature to flee from her, like the fright when you haunt mobs (The concept is she's psionic and is implanting the fear in the target). Is this a practical thing to do? If so how would I go about it? Feel free to dumb it down like you're talking to a simpleton, as that's essentially what I am with this sort of thing. I've gone in to the lua's and changed dialog and hp amounts and stuff, and I'm tinkering with sanity loss at night at the moment, but I get the feeling what I'm thinking of now might be an awful lot of work to do, so if you have any input on how I might do this (or suggestions for more elegant ways to achieve it) please feel free. Thanks for your time, forum-goers!
WORLDSBIGGEST
@DarkXero did a code for scaring beefalo, it shouldn't be too hard to adapt it to apply to monsters and animals in general
