Karmattack
I think as a bit of an expansion on the ideas done in Beefalo Training, you should be able to help Pigmen become more useful in other ways as well. They could be given "classes" of sorts, where the hats they wear determine what class they become after a certain amount of victories over other mobs. Once they obtain a class they are permanently befriended, but to balance this they still need to be fed periodically or they will be too tired to follow you. If they wear a Football Helmet most, they become a Pig Brawler. Essentially more tanky with slightly harder hits. If they wear the Battle Helm, they become a Pig Warrior. Stronger hits but like Wigfrid they will only eat meat. If they wear a Top Hat the most, they become a Pig Wizard. Able to shoot a magic projectile of either fire, ice, or sleep. Their magic is fueled by red gems, blue gems, and Mandrake/Pan Flute/Sleepytime Stories, which they can be loaded with. Without fuel they can do a basic spell the same power level as the Spear. If they wear a Tam 'O Shanter most, they become a MacPig and shoot darts similar to MacTusk. They must be provided with darts which they can be loaded with. If no darts are loaded they will melee attack with a Walking Cane. If they wear a Garland most, they will become a Medic Pig. They can be loaded with healing items which they will use when your health drops a certain level. Healing items they use heal more than the standard, but they are unable to help in battle. Karmattack
To clarify, only one classed pig could be had per player at a time. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/67389-pigmen-training/#findComment-772947 Share on other sites
